Chanel No 5 Eau de Parfum, created by Jacques Polge in 1986 as a reinterpretation of Ernest Beaux's 1921 original, opens with aldehydes, ylang-ylang, neroli, bergamot and peach, moves into a heart of iris, jasmine, rose and lily-of-the-valley, and settles into a base of sandalwood, oakmoss, vanilla, patchouli and vetiver.
